Golf may be the only sport where a score can improve without a single shot getting better.

A mulligan here. A gimmie there. A forgotten penalty stroke. Before long, the scorecard starts telling a different story than the golf course.

The church at Pergamum faced a similar challenge.

They weren't abandoning their faith. They were slowly becoming comfortable with compromise. Surrounded by cultural pressure and competing influences, they were tempted to adjust the standard rather than remain faithful to it.

In this episode of Shanktification, we explore the subtle danger of compromise, the power of influence, and why holding the line is often harder than making a dramatic stand.

Because changing the scorecard never changes the score.

And growth always begins with honesty.
